The option for a startup sound to help visually impaired iPhone 14 users is found in the code for iOS 16 – and that’s what it might sound like.
Apple has released a release candidate beta of iOS 16, the ninth beta, and it contains previously unknown details. Anything new found in the code pertains to features Apple either only announced at its “Far Out” event — or didn’t announce at all.
The existence of a startup sound option as part of iOS’ accessibility features was first noticed by Steve Moser.
Moser does not include audio from the startup chime itself and has not stated that it is in beta. However, Twitter user AppleSWUpdates claims to have found it.
