Nvidia starts teasing RTX 40 series announcement

Team Green’s upcoming graphics cards are being teased on social media, leading some to believe Nvidia is preparing an announcement for its next line of RTX cards.

After stating that we would hear about the new RTX cards on a phone call a few weeks ago, it appears that Nvidia is on track for a possible September 20 announcement.

The latest plague comes from Nvidia’s Twitter account, which provided a puzzle for people to solve. It took less than 30 minutes for people to know that the date teased for a “GeForce Beyond” or “Project Beyond” event was slated for September 20.

Once cracked, the puzzle tweet was followed by a video trailer, as seen below.

Nvidia’s latest cards have been leaked time and again, ever since the plans for them started to work out. This even included Nvidia’s factory production plans, which listed two models of the 4070 card.

On September 20, Nvidia’s AI-focused event, GTC, will take place. At the GPU Technology Conference, Nvidia shows how far their technology has come in their goal of improving artificial intelligence.

AI is now a big part of Nvidia’s business, with even consumer-level cards making new strides in terms of what can be produced.

Now the 4090 is expected to be demonstrated at the event, with a launch to follow shortly. As for the 4070 and 4080, or even 4060 GPUs, we are currently led to believe that these will not happen until 2023.

This is because Nvidia’s plethora of GPUs is trying to produce as many as possible to remove parts from its factory lines.

GTC kicks off September 19-22, with the GeForce Beyond event expected to take place on the second day, possibly as a keynote or after.
