Whether you’re cooking or just want to limit the amount of time you spend on a task, timers come in handy for everything. And the faster you can set a timer, the more time you’ll have to focus on whatever you’re doing.
Here are two of the fastest ways to set a timer on your iPhone.
- Invoke Control Center by swiping down diagonally from the top right corner of the screen. (If your iPhone has a Home button, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.)
- Long press the timer knob.
- Swipe up on the slider to set the timer duration, then tap Get started.
Note that each tile in the slider extends the timer duration in the following steps: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 45 minutes and 1 or 2 hours. If you want to set a timer for a more specific duration, try the second method below.
