OREGON – The Ogle County Solid Waste Management Department will take delivery of household electronics for recycling from the Solid Waste Management Department, 909 Pines Road on September 30, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The recycling event is open to Oregon residents only. A free license is required to participate. The permit comes with a list of accepted items for recycling. To obtain a permit, call 815-732-4020 or email email@example.com.
Items accepted for recycling are all televisions and computer monitors, computers, computer hardware and cables, laptops, tablets, cell phones and chargers, printers, fax machines, scanners, shredders (not tubs), copiers, video game equipment, DVD players and VCRs, cable and satellite boxes, stereo equipment, radios, digital clocks, cameras, calculators, telephone systems, Christmas lights, extension cords, rechargeable batteries, printer ink cartridges, CDs, DVDs and energy-saving light bulbs. Microwave ovens are accepted for $5 per unit.
Articles should be limited to seven large or bulky articles per license and one license per household per month. Business or institutional electronic materials will not be accepted.
