Report: Nokia smartphone shipments have tripled in the US, now the largest market. Best ASP High Ever in Q2 2022

A new report from analyst firm Strategy Analytics for Q2 2022 claims Nokia smartphone shipments more than tripled in the US in Q2 2022. Another good news was that Nokia smartphones accounted for more than a third of total Nokia handset volumes in Q2 2022. The higher percentage of Nokia smartphones in Handest volume combined with better performance in markets such as the US resulted in an unprecedentedly high ASP.

According to the report, the percentage of Nokia smartphones in the total Nokia Handest volume was at the highest level since the company was founded. Aggressive pressure in key markets such as the US has also helped Nokia Mobile drive up smartphone volumes. In fact, the US market is now Nokia Mobile’s largest smartphone market with 10% of total shipments. Nokia Mobile reportedly has the ambition to become one of the top prepaid providers in the US by the end of 2022.

This report is corroborated by a similar report from analyst firm IDC that claims Nokia Mobile as the 5th top smartphone brand in the US. The report for the US market also revealed that the Nokia C100 became the 15th best-selling smartphone in the second quarter of 2022. The slide posted by analyst firm IDC revealed a big jump in the number of Nokia smartphones shipped in the second quarter of 2022 compared to any other quarter, including the last two.
