Inflation in the previous week was measured at 45.5 pc. year-on-year – an all-time high – as vegetable prices rose due to the damage caused by the floods.
The most recent data showed that inflation fell 0.58 percent week-over-week as a result of a drop in food prices, particularly onions and tomatoes.
The SPI tracks the prices of 51 essential items based on a survey of 50 markets in 17 cities across the country.
